Bank of Hawaii has appointed Marco A Abbruzzese as vice chair and senior executive director of its wealth management business.
Abbruzzese is responsible for overseeing the wealth management areas of Trust Services Group, Investment Services and The Private Bank at Bank of Hawaii, it said in a statement.
Over the past 30 years, Abbruzzese has served in several senior and executive leadership roles specializing in wealth management at Wells Fargo, Citigroup and Chase Manhattan. He spent 14 years at Wells Fargo, where his first job was regional manager in its wealth management group before being appointed regional MD overseeing its Washington, Oregon and Alaska wealth management markets.
A native of Oregon, Abbruzzese earned his bachelor’s degree in international affairs from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, and a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs, where he specialized in international banking, finance and political economy in New York City.
KKR
KKR , the private equity giant, has appointed former venture capital senior figure Matthew Cohler as an independent director, taking the total to 12 out of a total of 16 board seats.
Cohler is a former general partner at the venture capital firm Benchmark where, for over a decade, he led early-stage investments in internet and software start-up businesses.
Other independent directors include Adriane Brown , Mary Dillon , Joseph Grundfest , Arturo Gutiérrez , John Hess , Dane Holmes , Xavier Niel , Patricia Russo , Thomas Schoewe , Robert Scully and Evan Spiegel .
